FAQ

What areas do you serve?  When are you available?

We are available for events 365 days a year, including holidays. We serve the greater Phoenix Metro area and all large and small cities and planned communities in the Valley, including Phoenix, Scottsdale, Cave Creek, Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Glendale, Peoria, Paradise Valley, Anthem, Buckeye, Verrado, Ahwatukee, Ocotillo, Estrella Mountain Ranch, Carefree, Apache Junction, Avondale, Laveen, Fountain Hills, Surprise, Maricopa, Litchfield Park, Tolleson, Goodyear, Youngtown, Casa Grande, the Sun Cities, and more.  If you are outside this service area, please contact us, and we’ll be happy to discuss your exact needs.

Can you set up indoors or outdoors?

Our courses can be set up indoors or outdoors.  

How much space is needed?

Each hole measures approximately 8 feet x 30 inches.  Generally, a space approximately 4 x 10 feet is appropriate for each hole to allow space for golfers to have adequate access all around each hole for ease in putting.

Because of the individual nature of the holes, our setup has a lot of flexibility and holes can be spaced in one large indoor area like a gym or banquet room, spaced out in hallways, or set up in individual rooms. Outdoors, spaces like a lawn, driveway, sports court, etc. work well.

Another consideration is that mini golf works best on surfaces that are as flat and level as possible.  We also need a clean surface, so outdoors on dirt is not possible. (real grass, fake grass, rock, cement, asphalt, etc. are all fine)

What kinds of events do you do?

Everyone loves mini golf!  We can present mini golf at all kinds of events—children’s and adult birthdays, holiday parties, picnics, churches, school carnivals, fairs and festivals, fundraisers, corporate events and more.

Do you only rent 9 or 18 holes?

Although our standard packages are for 9 or 18 holes, if you have limited space, we can offer less holes.  Just reach out to our office for details.

What access do you need to set up the course?

The course can fit through a standard 36 inch wide door, but a larger door is helpful. Because of the size of the rolling racks that carry the course and obstacles, we need adequate space to maneuver to get the course into a space. Please reach out to our office and we’ll be happy to assist with setup and access questions particularly if stairs, elevators, or long distances from the delivery truck to the setup location are needed.

Are the holes all different from one another?  Can we choose which holes and obstacles we have at our party?

Each hole has different elevations, hole locations, permanent obstacles for unique challenges.

Unfortunately, for logistical reasons, it’s not possible to specify exactly which holes and obstacles you’ll have at your event.

What if it rains?

Our courses are weatherproof.

Is an attendant included to operate the course?

Typically, yes for most rentals.  In order to ensure a great experience, we include a staff member with most course rentals to supervise and keep everything organized. For longer rentals, or special situations, please contact our office to discuss.

Do you need electricity?

If you are doing a nighttime event, or an indoor “LED glow golf” experience, the holes will arrive already charged and remain illuminated up to six hours without the need to recharge.  If your rental is a multi-day event, holes will need to charge overnight using a standard outlet.

Is this appropriate for both adults and kids?

Yes!  Everyone from 3-103 loves mini golf.  Our inventory of putters includes toddler, child and adult size clubs and the challenge level of the holes accommodates golfers of all ages.

How is payment handled?  Do you accept credit cards?

For birthdays and private parties, a non-refundable deposit of $100 is charged at time of booking to your credit/debit card to hold your date. The balance is charged 48 hours prior to your event. For schools and corporate events, we can process a purchase order, or accept payment via company check or credit card.

Do you have a party venue?

We are a mobile service that comes to you.

How long does it take to set up and tear down?

This depends on how easy the access is from our truck to the setup area and whether you’ve booked 9 or 18 holes.  Typically, it takes 15-30 minutes for setup and about the same amount of time for teardown.

Is tipping necessary?

Tips are appreciated by our team but never expected.

What is the cancellation policy?

You may cancel your event up to eight days before the event date. The deposit charged at the time of booking is not refundable, although we are happy to apply this amount to a future party. If the booking is cancelled with less than eight days notice, you will be responsible for payment of the fee in full, although this may also be applied to a future party.

May we take photos or videos?

Yes, of course! There are plenty of great photo and video opportunities. Many priceless memories can be captured.

Are you a local company or some sort of franchise?

We are a family-owned, Phoenix-based company. Our parent company, Alakazam Events and Entertainment, also owns other trusted, local brands Fantastic Fire Department, Showtime Balloon Decor, BubbleManiacs, Christopher the Magician and Desert Dreams Kids Sleepover Parties. We have entertained at more than 12,000 events across Arizona since 1995.

How large of a group can you accommodate?

Golf course capacity is measured by “players per hour.” Everyone plays at a different speed, but generally speaking a 9 hole course can accommodate approximately 40 players per hour and an 18 hole course can accommodate approximately 80 players per hour at peak efficiency. Playing 9 holes takes the average player about 15 minutes and 18 holes takes about 30 minutes.
